Catch Up... not ketchup!

It's been a while since I've posted on here and I thought I should try and catch up.  I recently had surgery and my body did not care to much for my timeline ideas for recovery.  That said, I have released Unexpected Ride.  It is now available on amazon at

http://www.amazon.com/Unexpected-Ride-Riding-Honor-ebook/dp/B00FHCH2BG/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1380337820&sr=8-14&keywords=unexpected+ride

Also, I have released Long Ride for the Nook and it is available though Barnes & Noble at

I have also finished all holiday shopping and now must drag those same gifts out and wrap them.  Wrapping gifts is somehow never as easy as it sounds.  My wrapped gifts end up looking as though I kicked them for a field goal (wrinkled paper and small nicks in the paper etc).  Anyways... Happy Holidays everyone!

Happy Reading!

Amazing journey so far!

I have been diligently working on Carla’s book which I wasn’t real sure about in the beginning but I am seeing a lot of myself in her character. She is like so many of us who try to be everything for everyone that we lose sight of what is important. Like Carla I understand what it is to fulfill a dream though… writing. The kind words and encouragement I’ve received from the release of my first series, Riding with Honor, prompted me to submit the first book of a new series I have been working on to Harlequin Contemporary Romance.

Harlequin Contemporary has decided to pick up that whole series of books. One of their editors, Stacy, gets the dubious task of checking my spelling and grammar (poor soul) and right now book one is in her capable hands. I do not have a release date for the first book in that series yet but I will definitely post on here when it is available, so watch this fan page for information regarding my new series, Man Maid!

The best part is you will be introduced to one of the boys from the new series in Carla’s book!

A big thanks!

I wanted to send out a thank you to everyone who supported me in my first writing contest.  I entered the Amazon Breakthrough Novel award with Slow Ride (Thomas McMurray’s story) and was one of 10,000 entries.  Tommy’s book was selected to move on in the contest which narrowed down the entries from 10,000 to 400.  Slow Ride didn’t make it to the quarter final level of the contest which narrowed those 400 books down to 100, but I cannot express my thanks enough to those who encouraged me in this.  In the short time I’ve been putting all these crazy characters in my head down into book format I would never have expected for my second one to have done as well as it did.  I also want to congratulate those 100 authors who made it to the quarter finals and wish them luck!

To celebrate what I consider a success in my first writing contest here is the overall opinion of the contest reviewers for my submitted excerpt of Slow Ride;

Review  1

The writing itself is really good. The dialogue flows nicely and the pacing of the story is really good. Also, the concept of a foster romance novel is definitely unique! I am not sure how appealing that will be to the target audience, but mad props to the author for creativity!

I think this is definitely an original concept for a novel. The writing is good and flows nicely, and the characters are dynamic and engaging. Even though I was a bit iffy about the whole foster child theme for a romance novel, the story kept me engaged from beginning to end.

Review 2

A very different and welcome type of storyline. The father of two daughters, one of whom will become a foster child to the other daughter's teacher? Interesting.  I look forward to reading how they become a family of sorts and I'm sure they will because it will be very up-lifting.

Very clever hook, I want to know more. I think it's a new twist that this woman is so selfless and self-assured. It doesn't seem too far-fetched, she just uses common sense.

Book Three in the Riding with Honor series, titled Wild Ride, is slated for publication in April and I must say that I just love Chuck!

Stuck in my head

So I've this song stuck in my head...for days now.  Any suggestions on how to make it stop?  I've tried singing other songs, listening to other songs and attempting to turn off the music in my mind.  No such luck and no relief...

A big thanks to my fans!

I wanted to send out a thank you to all those who have supported my debut book launch. It has been a great couple of weeks since my first book was published on Amazon.com. I am truly grateful for all those who have encouraged me either through emails, Facebook posts, likes and/or reviews. I feel truly blessed that my book has been so well received and that many love the characters in it as much... as I do. I enjoy the feedback and posts regarding future books. I am pleased to announce that book 2 in the Riding with Honor Series, titled Slow Ride will be coming on or before March 1st of 2013!

I hope that you enjoyed reading Lilly and Bobby’s book as much as I enjoyed writing it. I also hope that you are ready to get to know Bobby’s best friend Tommy. Book two is Tommy McMurray’s story and as each book in the series is completed I find myself more and more enthralled with all of the characters and I hope that you will be too.

I have a playlist going that includes everything from classical to heavy metal and everything in between.  Jamming and writing...ahh now that's the ticket!
